James graduated with his Bachelor of Science in Biology from Kennesaw State University in 2018 and joined the lab in 2021. Before being part of the Paiardini team, he worked in drug testing for Cherokee County, Food Safety testing, and underwent post baccalaureate training in Dr. Edward Mocarski's lab at the Emory Vaccine Center. Since joining the lab, he has been instrumental in the BSL-3 operations and training for COVID-19 studies and has performed tissue processing and flow cytometry for numerous studies.
On his off-time James volunteers as a youth group leader for high school boys at Northpoint community church and enjoys going to see the braves play at Truist park with his wife, Kara, and his friends.
